Health & Safety

Quin Workforce has been at the forefront of several initiatives with regards to Health and Safety in the Industrial recruitment market. Not least of these is the introduction of the “Quin Passport”. Every member of staff is required to carry this at all times while at work. A 111 page pocket sized book outlining:

  • What to do in an emergency
  • How to report accidents
  • Identifying hazards
  • Fire safety
  • First aid
  • Lifting
  • Health and safety meetings
  • Legal responsibilities
  • Code of conduct

In addition to this we are part of ACC’s partnership program with tertiary accreditation. All management of accidents, injuries and near misses are managed and investigated in the first instance by QWF. This is unique in the current market and demonstrates our commitment to Health and Safety.

The passport also acts as a traveling CV, all additional training a temp undergoes is signed off by our clients representatives. This aids us in being able to up-skill our staff and demonstrates our commitment to be a responsible employer in a labour-force bound by problems of skills shortages. Our construction staff in particular are actively encouraged to move through the Quin Workforce grading system through a series of quantitative steps. This system has been produced and endorsed in conjunction with some of NZ’s largest and arguably most successful construction companies and is also unique within NZ industrial labourhire.

The cost savings of our routine and unique business initiatives are to help save money in replacing staff, and in the potential case where there are time loss injuries etc
